University professor raises $200K+ for new school
The dean of a private university in Missouri has raised more than $200,000 to help renovate his former classroom and other buildings.
The Rev. Dr. Robert L. Wilson Jr. of Columbia said Thursday he raised $200k for a new classroom and classrooms, a library and other facilities.
The money was raised through a crowdfunding campaign that began on Thursday.
The Rev. Wilson, a pastor at St. Augustine Community Church in Columbia, said he has already spent more than half the amount needed.
The fund was established to cover the costs of renovating and repairing buildings and classrooms.
Wilson said the funds will go toward buying new equipment and other supplies needed to repair the buildings.
