Deakin University is bringing its War at The End of the Civil War series to its campus.

The new series of lectures, which begin this month, explores the life of prominent figures in the Australian civil war, from the 1864-65 war to the war of independence.

“These are some of the most important people in Australian history and one of the things we’re trying to tell is how those events shaped the lives of the people who experienced them,” deakin historian and lecturer Dr John Rimmer said.

The War at Home series was originally published in 2008.
